Time for the gentle giants
Protecting what matters: with every Mara Safari Chronograph—limited to 250 pieces—Tutima Glashütte supports the vital work of the Mara Elephant Project. The initiative is dedicated to safeguarding elephants and their natural habitat in the world‑famous Serengeti/Maasai Mara ecosystem.

Built for adventure—on and beyond the African continent

The color alone underlines the rugged outdoor character of this timepiece and sparks a sense of travel and exploration: the dial appears in safari green beneath 2.5 mm thick sapphire crystal, double anti‑reflective for near reflection‑free legibility. The flexible, pleasantly soft rubber strap with a titanium pin buckle echoes the safari tone and connects seamlessly to the case. The 30‑atm pressure‑tested case is crafted from ultra‑light, anti‑magnetic, scratch‑resistant and corrosion‑resistant pure titanium. Integrated, large‑surface pushers with a non‑slip finish ensure confident control when timing. Hands, indexes and the luminous capsules on the rotating bezel are coated with Super‑LumiNova for clear readability in the dark. At the heart: the Cal. T310 chronograph movement, automatically wound by every wrist motion and offering a 62‑hour power reserve.

Extra function: elephant protection

At Tutima—derived from the Latin tutus—protection is part of the name. Here, it goes well beyond the watch itself. With the Mara Safari, Tutima Glashütte actively contributes to preserving our global heritage: the Mara Elephant Project protects elephants and their habitat in the African savanna and promotes peaceful coexistence between people and wildlife. Led by Marc Goss, the team trains rangers, gathers data on elephant populations and migration, and supports anti‑poaching efforts. For many years, a Tutima chronograph has accompanied him on helicopter and jeep missions—one already wo by his father, a ranger and pilot in Kenya. Inspired by that family story and the Mara team’s commitment, Tutima Glashütte supports the project with every Mara Safari Chronograph, available for €4,600 (RRP).
