In 2006, Tutima co-founded the Academy of Aviation Safety near Salinas, California, with Sean D. Tucker — National Aviation Hall of Fame, over 24,000 flight hours. The Academy trains professional and hobby pilots in critical flight situations. The Flieger Aero Club is the watch they wear in the cockpit.
