19th Mitteldeutscher Olympiaball

Tribute to champion and mentor At a ball where everything revolves around sport—down to the hands of Tutima timepieces—more than 1,700 guests gathered on March 23 in Leipzig for Germany’s second-largest sports gala, held beneath the glass roof of the Neue Messe’s Glashalle. It was an evening celebrating the sporting elite, emerging talent, and the people who support them.

Clear victories—and a strong partnership

A highlight of the evening was a contest defined by honor and unmistakable success. David Storl (21), the youngest shot put world champion of all time, was named “Top of the Sports.” His coach, Sven Lang, was also celebrated and received the title “Inte ationally Most Successful Coach 2011.” Overwhelmed, Sven Lang accepted his prize: a Tutima Grand Classic Black Chronograph PR, valued at around €3,000. With its functional, instrument-watch character and exceptional robustness, Tutima underlined its own ambitious standards—built for dynamic performance and a confident presence.
