Kieler Woche and Balloon Sail 2017
Strong performance on water, in the air, and on land
With racing yacht, hot air balloon, and as the "Official Timekeeper of the Kieler Woche Regattas" – Tutima Glashütte presents itself at top events in the far north.
When the world's largest sailing event kicks off in Kiel on June 17, Tutima will be involved in multiple ways: in its thirteenth year as the "Official Timekeeper of the Kieler Woche Regattas," as the sponsor of the Tutima racing yacht, with the Tutima hot air balloon – and not least in the Olympic Center Schilksee, where the Glashütte watch manufacturer presents the new Saxon One Chronograph Royal Blue.
Wave rider: "Pink Ladies" and their racing yacht The 14-meter-long and 8.6-ton racing yacht has been sponsored by Tutima since 2009. This titanium-grey racer is the only regatta ship of its size that competes with an all-female crew. The 15-member team, tested at world and European championship levels and led by skipper Kirsten Harmstorf-Schönwitz, significantly shakes up the male-dominated big boat scene – and not only because of their pink sail outfits, they are a real eye-catcher. Last year, the "Pink Ladies" won bronze at the German Championship and are also aiming for medal positions in 2017. More information at tutima-yacht.de.
Sky sign: the Tutima hot air balloon In addition to its commitment to sailing sports, Tutima has been supporting the German Aero Club for many years. A highly visible symbol of this partnership is the Tutima hot air balloon – named in 2016 by high jump legend Heike Henkel, it will again serve as a floating brand ambassador at the Balloon Sail.
Land entry: Tutima on the Schilksee sponsor mile Tutima showcases the flagship of the "Made in Glashütte" collection on the Schilksee sponsor mile: the new Saxon One Chronograph Royal Blue with a royal blue dial, automatic movement, central minute stop, rotating bezel, and 20 ATM water-resistant stainless steel case. Managing Director Jörg Delecate: "As the 'Official Timekeeper', precision and reliability are indispensable – virtues embodied perfectly by our watches. We look forward to accompanying the Kieler Woche once again with Glashütte values and our sporty brand DNA."
