In 2006, Tutima co-founded the Academy of Aviation Safety with Sean D. Tucker — National Aviation Hall of Fame, over 24,000 flight hours — near Salinas, California. The Academy trains professional and hobby pilots in critical flight situations: unusual attitudes, wake turbulence, the scenarios where instinct needs to be retrained. The Flieger Aero Club is the watch they wear. 1941 Flieger DNA in a cockpit-ready instrument. Cal. 330. It goes up with the pilots, and it comes back down.
